Western Australia and Japan have a long-standing trade and cultural relationship and my Government is committed to supporting and strengthening that connection.

Many of the state’s agencies are active in the Japanese market, identifying and facilitating opportunities for our exporters and promoting Western Australia as an investment and tourism destination.

The Government of Western Australia has comprehensive representative offices in Tokyo and Kobe. Originally established to support the growing resources trade, the offices facilitate an increasingly diverse range of new Western Australian exporters and assist Japanese companies looking to invest in our state.

Western Australia and Hyogo Prefecture enjoy a successful Sister State relationship and our Japan offices help to develop and promote opportunities between the two and the wider Kansai region.
